Proposed Youth Council
The information gleaned from the Community Questionnaire, part of the Parish Plan consultation process, indicated that the 11-18 year olds felt that they are in the best position to identify the facilities that should be provided for their age group within the community. However, they also felt there was no provision currently available for them to make themselves heard.
On the basis that this age group also felt that the best forum for their views to be highlighted would be by forming an independent youth council, an initiative has been started by the Parish Plan Steering Group to establish the level of support by this age group prior to helping them to implement this idea.
